Job summary

The Menninger Clinic in Texas seeks a registered nurse (psychiatric) to join our inpatient team. Schedule is 7p–7a with rotating days and every other weekend as needed. You will assess patients, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and participate in an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

Required BSN and current Texas RN license, plus at least two years of psychiatric nursing experience. Strong documentation and patient safety focus are essential.

Patient care

• Assessment and care planning –
• Sets appropriate goals; including the physical, psychological, social, and continuing care needs of each patient; evaluates nursing actions to meet those goals; and makes recommendations for any changes.
• Demonstrates effective bio-psycho-social assessment skills
• Develops comprehensive nursing care plans based on nursing diagnosis and standards of care, clearly written with expected outcomes
• Effectively utilizes nursing process in directing and providing patient care
• Modifies plan of care based on ongoing patient assessment
