The Aultman Hospital is actively seeking an RN to provide direct, primary nursing care in the MICU, coordinating patient care based on assessments. You will supervise LPNs and aides and ensure safe, effective delivery of care in a high‑acuity unit.
Required are Ohio RN licensure and BLS/ACLS as applicable, with BSN preferred. The role entails day/night rotations, weekends and holidays as needed, with strong teamwork and communication.

Aultman Hospital
The Aultman Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional nurse that provides direct, primary nursing care to patients/residents. The RN delegates and coordinates patient care, based upon a documented assessment of the patient’s/resident’s needs. The RN supervises the care provided by individuals such as licensed practical nurses, patient care technicians/state tested nursing assistants/nurse aides, medical assistants, and etc., if applicable.
MICU is located on the third floor, east wing of the Memorial Building and consists of 20 rooms, with two rooms designated for Airborne Infectious Isolation. Rooms are equipped with hardwire monitoring with the capability to perform acute dialysis. The Medical Intensive Care Unit is designed for care specializing in critically ill patients requiring advanced life support and close monitoring, including those with respiratory failure, hemodynamic instability, severe metabolic disturbances, acute neurologic events, toxicologic emergencies, renal failure requiring CRRT, multi-organ dysfunction, septic shock, and the need for continuous titration of high‑risk intravenous medications.
Common candidates for admission include:
1. Patients who require acute ventilatory assistance
2. Hemodynamically unstable gastrointestinal bleeding patients
3. Unstable patients with diabetic ketoacidosis
4. Ischemic stroke patients requiring TNK administration/Post Intervention
5. Unstable drug overdose and/or suicidal patients
6. Patients requiring Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
7. Patients with multi‑system organ failure
8. Patients with diagnosis of unstable septic shock.
9. Patients whose condition requires IV infusion and titration of medications with vasodilator, vasopressor or anti‑arrhythmic effects .
Category I - Includes tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. All procedures or other job‑related tasks that involve an inherent potential for spills or splashes of, or mucous membrane or skin contact with blood, body fluids or tissues are Category I tasks. Use of appropriate protective measures is required for every employee engaged in Category I tasks.
