Job summary

Augusta University in Savannah, GA is seeking a DJJ Staff Nurse to deliver direct patient care at Savannah RYDC. This full-time role is 40 hours per week with a base rate of $39.50 per hour and 41 paid days off per year.

The nurse will follow the nursing process, teach patients, and collaborate with facility staff and external vendors to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care for youth.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Georgia.
• Minimum 1 year clinical experience.
• Good organizational and decision-making skills; able to work under pressure.
• Must lift 50 lbs.
• Must hold current BCLS certification.
• Must pass security/clearance per DJJ requirements.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of patient care through the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Guides patient teaching, nursing activities, and ancillary personnel.
• Promote a customer-friendly environment and provide superior service to youth, facility staff, family, and outside vendors.
