Texas Children’s Hospital is seeking an Inpatient OR Staff Nurse for the Pavilion for Women. The role involves nursing care for obstetrics and gynecology patients in a fast-paced perioperative setting, coordinating referrals and triaging patient needs.
The position requires a Bachelor’s or RN-equivalent education, active RN license in Texas or through the Nurse Licensure Compact, and BLS. Minimum 9 months RN experience with 3 years OR experience preferred, including OB/GYN/da Vinci surgery.
We are searching for an Inpatient OR Staff Nurse for the Pavilion for Women -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, educating, implementing, and evaluating age-appropriate care that incorporates family-centered principles and cost-effective care.
Pavilion for Women Operating Room includes a surgical suite and procedure space that supports obstetrics, gynecology, fetal surgery, general surgery, urgent interventional radiology, and other specialized services for pregnant patients and women. Perioperative Services also supports operating rooms in Labor and Delivery along with procedure, pre operative, and recovery areas in the Reproductive Endocrinology Clinic. The unit provides care for patients ranging from adolescents to adult women and operates as part of the broader Perioperative Services Department.

Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women is a comprehensive obstetrics/gynecology facility and one of a select few hospitals nationwide that provides women, mothers and babies with a full continuum of high-quality, expert health care. Offering a full spectrum of maternal and fetal medicine services, including an array of fetal diagnostic procedures and highly specialized fetal surgeries, the Pavilion for Women is connected to Texas Children’s Hospital via a two-story circular sky bridge to enhance patient care by providing physicians, staff and patient families with rapid access to other pediatric subspecialists. Three private OB/GYN practices, The Family Fertility Center, The Menopause Center and The Women’s Place – Center for Reproductive Psychiatry are all housed here. Additionally, we also recently opened a community-based OB/GYN practice in Pearland.
