Job summary

Sutter Delta Medical Center, part of Sutter Health, seeks an experienced registered nurse to coordinate and deliver holistic care in a night shift, per diem setting. You will educate patients and families and manage transitions of care in a fast-paced acute environment.

Requirements include CA RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, NRP, AFM, and at least 2 years of relevant experience. BSN preferred; lifting and strenuous patient handling are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum 2 years of recent relevant nursing experience.
• CA State RN licensure required.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, AFM certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, coordinate, deliver and evaluate nursing care in an acute setting.
• Provide patient/family education and transitions of care.
• Develop and coordinate a comprehensive plan of care addressing physical, psychological, sociocultural, and lifestyle factors.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians and other care team members.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, standards and regulations.

Position Overview:

Accountable for the assessment, coordination, delivery and evaluation of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care in an acute patient setting. Delivers holistic and individualized care to all patients in an assigned area. Develops, implements, and coordinates a plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and life-style factors. Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communications. Adheres to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations to promote an optimal patient experience.

EDUCATION

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing Required

• BSN Preferred

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE

• 2 years of recent relevant experience.

LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Registered Nurse - CA State Licensure - RN Required

• Basic Life Support Certification - BLS Required

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS Required

• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider - NRP Required

• Advanced Fetal Monitoring - AFM Required

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Ability to make fine discrimination in sound

Pay Range is $83.34 to $112.76 / hour
