The CHAM Heart Center RN will provide care in the Pediatric Cardiovascular Care Unit, delivering exceptional care to infants and children with complex cardiac conditions. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The RN participates in performance improvement and research activities, maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise, and demonstrates leadership skills. The RN demonstrates core and unit-specific competencies based on the patient population served.

Education, Training & Experience Required

Required:

• New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an RN.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of Critical Care Experience
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Preferred:

• BSN Degree
• 1-2 years of Pediatric Cardiac Experience
• Certification in Specialty
