Job summary

You will mentor students and new staff while coordinating with physicians, therapists, and support teams to ensure safe, high-quality care. The ideal candidate holds a BSN with active RN licensure and current CPR/BLS; ACLS and PALS are required, NRP

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing program (BSN preferred).
• RN licensed in good standing; ADN pathway considered with experience.
• Required certifications: CPR/BLS; ACLS and PALS; NRP as applicable.
• Experience with discharge planning and collaboration across care teams.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive nursing assessments and documents care plans.
• Ensures progress notes reflect patient status and updates care plans accordingly.
• Plans and coordinates discharge and inter-department communication.
• Educates patients and families based on readiness and understanding.
• Precepts and mentors new staff and students in clinical practices.
• Lead and collaborate with the care team to meet patient needs and unit priorities.
• Communicates patient status to leadership and other disciplines.
