Job summary

Crusoe Cloud seeks a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to lead the development and execution of our Software Defined Networking strategy, utilizing XDP/EBPF, DPDK, SmartNICs, and DPUs/IPUs. You will guide architecture decisions, lead the engineering team through design, implementation, and reviews, and collaborate with network infrastructure to deliver industry‑leading solutions.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in high‑performance networking, strong C/C++ and Golang, and deep Linux kernel

Qualifications

• 8+ years building high‑performance networking systems in production.
• Strong C/C++ and/or Golang programming skills.
• Deep knowledge of Linux internals, memory management, and drivers.
• Experience with kernel bypass technologies like XDP/EBPF, AF_XDP and DPDK.
• Familiarity with SR-IOV, vDPA, scalable functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute roadmap for Crusoe Cloud's SDN strategy.
• Lead the engineering team through all phases of the software lifecycle.
• Collaborate with network infra to deploy industry‑leading solutions.
• Lead kernel and driver development, focusing on architecture and optimization.
• Drive adoption of kernel bypass technologies (XDP/EBPF, AF_XDP, DPDK).
• Leverage accelerators (Mellanox/NVIDIA ConnectX‑6/7, BlueField‑3, Intel IPU).
• Work with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely delivery and ops excellence.
