Job summary

Google is seeking a Staff Network Security Engineer to manage risks to GEN network hardware and software, develop automation to enforce policies, and partner with customers, vendors, operations, and deployment teams to deliver secure, efficient designs that meet user requirements.

You will contribute to designing next-generation networks and software platforms while addressing security across enterprise environments and cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/Engineering.
• 10 years of experience with network routing protocols and design.
• Experience planning and designing networks across multiple sites/products.
• Experience with network security architecture and threat modeling.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical direction for cross-functional teams to drive security outcomes.
• Develop security framework, standards, and baselines for infrastructures and network designs.
• Conduct threat modeling and security assessments for products/services to reduce risk.
• Explain security risks and remediation options to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Lead security programs from inception to roadmap with resource and risk consideration.
