Job summary

Google is seeking a Network Architect to define roadmaps and own end-to-end network architecture across multiple sites and products. You will liaise with partner teams to align objectives and manage life-cycle processes from design through deployment.

This role emphasizes scalable, reliable networks and leveraging automation for efficiency. The ideal candidate has a strong background in routing protocols, design, and distributed systems, with experience in programming languages such as C++, Go,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting, with network equipment providers.
Experience with planning and designing networks (e.g., multiple sites, multiple products, etc.).

Responsibilities

Define the technical roadmap and architecture, balancing immediate operational needs against long-term scalability and reliability.
Own end-to-end architectural and design choices.
Function as the primary technical point of contact for partner teams, aligning on shared OKRs and dependencies.
Engage in and improve the whole life cycle of networks from inception to deployment and optimization.
Scale systems sustainably through automation and reliability improvements.
