Job Description

This role requires passing a ServiceNow background screening, USFedPASS (US Federal Personnel Authorization Screening Standards), which includes a credit check, criminal/misdemeanor check, and drug test. Employment is contingent upon passing these screenings.

What you will do:
  1. Manage a critical public cloud infrastructure globally.
  2. Augment network capacity as needed.
  3. Design and deploy networks based on technical and business requirements.
  4. Participate in automation development and platform optimization.
  5. Collaborate with project managers to meet timelines and resolve issues.
  6. Operate and troubleshoot networks to ensure quick issue resolution.
  7. Lead engagement during outage events to mitigate impact.
  8. Diagnose problems and update trouble tickets.
  9. Proactively analyze network parameters to prevent outages.
  10. Review and prepare for network changes, participate in rotating on-call duties.
  11. Perform device upgrades, deployments, decommissions, and RMA processes using automation tools.
  12. Work efficiently in a remote, distributed environment.
  13. Maintain documentation and processes for large-scale network operations.
  14. Utilize automation tools like Ansible and Python for deployments and troubleshooting.
  15. Integrate into the environment and understand network architecture and processes.
  16. Deploy capacity racks and networks in global data centers.
  17. Collaborate with other teams to resolve network process issues.
Qualifications:
  • Experience with AI integration into work processes and decision-making.
  • Knowledge of network technologies such as BGP, OSPF, NAT, ACLs, and SNMP; MPLS knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Juniper Junos, Cisco IOS/NXOS, Cumulus Linux, and REST APIs.
  • Proficiency with troubleshooting tools like Wireshark and tcpdump.
  • Basic Linux/Unix system administration skills.
  • Automation mindset with scripting skills in Python, Go, or similar.
  • Strong foundation in networking, security, and load balancing.
  • 6+ years of experience in data center and internet networks.
  • Ability to collaborate with globally distributed teams.
  • Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
  • Quick learner of new technologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, Bitbucket, and GitHub.
