Job summary

Google Beam seeks a Staff UX Designer to lead hybrid motion and visual design for its AI-first, 3D video platform. You will bridge aesthetics and movement, prototype narratives for 3D and AI products, and establish cohesive motion guidelines across environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve ambiguous problems, push generative AI workflows, and influence the platform’s UX language at a senior level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in product design or UX, with a focus on hybrid visual and motion design.
• Experience with 3D design tools or motion graphics software.
• Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume.

Responsibilities

• Define and galvanize the long-term product and user experience strategy for the Beam platform, driving alignment among cross-functional leaders.
• Pioneer the cinematic future of the platform by creating concept reels and high-fidelity motion mockups as a hybrid motion and visual specialist.
• Author a premium motion language and establish standards for visual and motion systems within 3D environments to ensure a cohesive identity.
• Partner with User Research to evaluate the emotional resonance and usability of premium motion and visual patterns through high-fidelity simulations.
• Resolve highly ambiguous spatial design challenges, including geospatial design and depth-based visual hierarchy, employing rapid high-fidelity visualization to scale features.
