ByteDance's internal innovative business team seeks a Motion Designer to shape the dynamic design language for our AI-driven ecosystem. You will define motion principles, transitions, and feedback that make AI products feel alive.

Collaborating with UX, UI, and Engineering, you will craft motion solutions for AI assistants and multimodal experiences, lead explorations, and help set live product experiences into motion.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in motion design, interaction animation, or related fields.
• Exceptional sense of rhythm, timing, and physics-based motion with ability to explain rationale behind motion designs.
• Proficiency in motion tools such as After Effects, Figma, ProtoPie, Rive, Lottie, or Blender.
• Ability to work with engineers to define motion parameters and performance boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Define the dynamic design language for the ecosystem, covering state changes, transitions, feedback, and AI behavioral expressions.
• Design motion solutions for AI products and system-level experiences, making motion an integral part of product interaction.
• Create natural and semantic feedback for AI Assistants, Agent workflows, and multimodal interaction scenarios.
• Build system motion specifications, including principles, rhythm, easing, and implementation standards.
• Collaborate with UX, UI, and Engineering to ensure motion concepts are accurately implemented in live products.
• Lead motion explorations for future concepts and high-impact product demonstrations.
