Job summary

Onebrief, a distributed team building AI-powered workflow software for military planning, seeks a Staff-level analyst to own the models and data that drive AtomEngine, our cloud-based simulation engine. You will shape the entity catalog, defining sources, formulas, and defensible claims used by scenarios.

You will mentor analysts, direct AI-assisted research, and set tooling and test requirements in collaboration with Engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience applying modeling and simulation, systems engineering, operations research, or test and evaluation to complex systems.
• Ability to assess whether a model is credible for its intended use and explain why.
• Ability to translate competing needs into priorities, establish repeatable processes, and keep a large body of work organized.
• Practical experience directing AI agents through research or analytical tasks, including clear instructions, review checkpoints, and error correction.
• Clear technical communication and the confidence to work through disagreements with customers and SMEs.
• An investigative approach to simulation and wargaming to improve models.

Responsibilities

• Define modeling standards and defensible formulas, document assumptions and uncertainty.
• Maintain a catalog priorities roadmap across service branches, nations, and eras.
• Design AI-directed production instructions and quality controls for scalable entity creation.
• Lead VV&A activities across catalog segments with SME reviews.
• Collaborate with Engineering and customers to specify tools and testing requirements.
• Mentor analysts and author standards and knowledge articles.
