Cohere is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead cross-functional efforts in a fast-growing Generative ML organization. You will scale processes, coordinate with modeling teams, and partner with senior leaders to shape the big picture while handling tactical execution.

The role emphasizes pragmatic leadership in a remote-friendly, globally distributed company with strong ties to AI research and enterprise deployment.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years as a Technical Program Manager and 5+ years in AI/ML, with preference for foundation-model work.
• Strong knowledge of NLP, LLMs, and potentially multimodal AI.
• Experience in chaotic, fast-paced environments and balancing tactical and strategic work.

Responsibilities

• Establish and scale foundational processes for Generative Modeling teams.
• Grow the Modeling TPM team’s operational capacity with leadership alignment.
• Adapt to evolving program needs and drive cross-functional initiatives.
• Partner with leaders to design, train, and improve core generative models.
• Lead cross-functional programs with Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and more.
• Improve engineering execution rigor and contribute to long-term strategy.
• Map dependencies/risks and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Ensure clear prioritization and knowledge flow across the Modeling org.
