Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Platform Engineer to join a distributed engineering team. This fully remote role targets top talent located in New Hampshire, focusing on infrastructure for ML and generative AI at scale.

You will lead architecture decisions, define platform capabilities, and collaborate with data teams to support evolving business needs, governance, and security across multi-tenant environments.

Qualifications

• 10 years of enterprise software platforms experience.
• Cloud-native architecture and distributed systems expertise.
• Proven leadership of major technical initiatives.
• Production ML infra experience with LLMs.
• Experience with vector databases and RAG.
• Strong Python and TypeScript skills.
• AWS-based deployment experience.
• Containerized deployment with Docker.
• Infrastructure as Code using CDK or CloudFormation.
• Observability, incident response, and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance ML platforms for workloads.
• Build scalable infra for model serving and inference.
• Define standards for model registration and governance.
• Design for streaming and batch AI workloads.
• Ensure tenant isolation and data protection.
• Improve AI reliability with testing and monitoring.
• Implement logging, tracing, alerting, observability.
• Collaborate with teams to boost performance and scalability.
• Lead architecture discussions across projects.
• Mentor engineers in ML infra.
• Research tech trends and propose improvements.
• Support CI/CD and infra automation.
