Reddit is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Infrastructure Engineer to own the technical direction for large-scale ML platforms, guiding advanced model design and production deployment. You will drive ML roadmaps, mentor engineers, and push scalable training and real-time inference across Reddit’s AI-driven systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in Feed Ranking, Ads, Content Understanding, and Core ML, applying modern deep learning architectures and distributed training on

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in ML engineering.
• Deep learning architectures expert.
• Understanding multi-entity relationships in ML.
• Experience in distributed training and real-time inference.
• Strong Python/C++ software skills.
• Leadership in ML strategy and mentoring.
• Experience with A/B testing and evaluation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead development of next-gen large-scale ML techniques.
• Define and execute ML strategy to enhance personalization and recommendation quality.
• Lead research on scalable ML systems and real-time adaptation.
• Partner with ML infra teams to build high-performance distributed training across GPUs and clouds.
• Establish and optimize real-time serving architectures for low-latency embeddings.
• Collaborate with Feed Ranking, Ads, Content Understanding, and Core ML teams.
• Mentor senior/mid-level ML engineers to uplift the team.
• Stay at the forefront of AI research and propose new modeling paradigms.
