Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the integration and deployment of perception models into production ADAS and autonomous driving systems. You will productize ML models, optimize performance on automotive hardware, and build scalable deployment pipelines.

You will collaborate with ML researchers, perception engineers, and hardware teams to deliver safe, high-performance solutions and support SDK development for customer integrations.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience in perception or autonomous systems.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python, with ROS1/2, OpenCV, and GPU acceleration.

Responsibilities

• Model Integration & Productization: integrate perception models into Lucid's software stack.
• Deploy and integrate perception models (camera, LiDAR) into production-ready modules.
• Transition experimental components into robust production code with scheduling/diagnostics.
• Performance Optimization: optimize inference pipelines with CUDA, TensorRT, mixed-precision for real-time performance.
• Pipeline Development & Automation: build CI/CD pipelines for deployment, verification, KPI reporting.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with ML researchers, software engineers, OEMs for smooth integration.
• System Diagnostics & Monitoring: implement runtime metrics, logging, and error reporting.
