Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking an experienced Perception Machine Learning Algorithm Engineer to advance perception for Level 2/2+/3 autonomous driving. You will design and deploy state-of-the-art models using camera, LiDAR, and radar data within production vehicles.

The role requires strong PyTorch, Python, and deployment toolchain expertise, with experience in BEV transformers and multi-sensor fusion.

Qualifications

• Strong foundations in deep learning for perception, including detection, tracking, and segmentation.
• Experience with 3D point cloud data from LiDAR/Radar.
• Proficient in Python; able to work with large codebases and ML models.
• Familiarity with PyTorch, ONNX, and deployment toolchains; TensorRT preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Electrical/Automotive Engineering; 3+ years of relevant work, or PhD; advanced degrees preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize perception algorithms for autonomous driving levels 2/2+/3 using camera, LiDAR, and radar data.
• Design and implement 2D/3D object detection, segmentation, and tracking models.
• Train and evaluate ML/DL models for detecting vehicles and pedestrians.
• Integrate BEV-based transformer models for perception tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust deployment in production.
• Deploy and test perception algorithms in Lucid production programs.
