State Farm is seeking a hands-on Staff Machine Learning Engineer to architect, build, and scale enterprise-grade AI/ML systems, real-time decisioning capabilities, and agentic AI applications. This role focuses on ML systems engineering, productionization, and platform advancement across Databricks and AWS.

You will lead architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with business teams while delivering scalable recommendations and robust decisioning pipelines.

Formación

• 8+ years in ML/Software engineering with leadership.
• Expert Python and strong SQL; experience with APIs and microservices.
• Expert PySpark/Spark; building reliable data and feature pipelines.
• Deep Databricks experience (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows) with AWS (S3, IAM, compute).
• Lifecycle experience for production ML, including deployment, monitoring, retraining; familiarity with MLflow & CI/CD.
• Experience with low-latency real-time decisioning and scalable recommendations.
• Hands-on with agentic AI, orchestration, tool calling, and enterprise integrations.
• Proven ability to architect and deliver complex enterprise systems.

Responsabilidades

• ML Architecture & Engineering: design and build scalable, production-grade ML systems, APIs, feature pipelines, and reusable components.
• Decisioning & Recommendation Engines: architect real-time decisioning and recommendation platforms.
• Closed-Loop Learning: implement feedback to continually improve recommendations.
• Databricks & AWS Engineering: develop reliable data and ML pipelines using Python, PySpark, SQL, Databricks, and AWS.
• MLOps: implement deployment, serving, versioning, monitoring, and retraining workflows.
• Agentic AI: architect and develop production-grade agentic AI applications with LLM orchestration and tool integration.
• Technical Leadership: lead architecture decisions, set standards, mentor engineers, and collaborate across teams.
