Uber AI Solutions (UAIS) seeks an experienced engineer to design and operate production ML systems, delivering end-to-end ownership from data to product. You will build backend systems, drive business metrics, and partner with product managers to ship revenue-generating solutions.

You will thrive in a fast-moving, startup-paced team backed by Uber, with opportunities to influence strategy and customer value across multiple modalities and platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, ML, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline.
• 5+ years designing, building, and operating production ML systems; strong backend engineering across data to serving.
• Track record of driving business impact (revenue, adoption, customer value) beyond shipping features.
• Fluent in Python for ML and production languages such as Go, Java, or C++, building reliable services in production.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity, move fast, and own high-value problems end to end.
• Excellent communication skills to align customers, product, and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build ML and backend systems that turn vision into a product customers pay for and rely on.
• Own your vertical end to end: set direction and drive business metrics like revenue and adoption.
• Move fast in ambiguity: prioritize ruthlessly and ship revenue-generating products with a small senior team.
• Be a trusted technical partner in customer relationships and use learning to grow the account.
