BD is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of ML solutions powering AI‑driven decision making across the BD Connected Care portfolio. Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Machine Learning, Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Math, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of hands‑on ML/AI and software engineering with production ownership.
• Deep expertise in model development across classical ML and deep learning, incl. time‑series and multi‑series settings.
• Excellent Python; fluent with NumPy, pandas, scikit‑learn, statsmodels, PyTorch, and forecasting stacks.
• 3+ years building ML services on AWS without relying on SageMaker as the primary platform.
• Comfortable with Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions CI/CD.
• Strong software‑engineering habits: testing, packaging, CI, code review, observability.

Responsibilities

• Modeling ownership: design, training, and validation of forecasting, optimization, and anomaly detection models.
• Apply classical methods and deep learning for appropriate problems.
• Own training pipelines end to end with feature engineering and reproducibility.
• Turn models into production services on AWS (EKS, S3, Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions).
• Implement evaluation, monitoring, and governance with ML Platform teams.
• Develop explainable outputs to justify recommendations for users.
