Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of mechanical engineering experience in precision hardware.
• SolidWorks with GD&T and drafting.
• Experience owning mechanical designs from concept to release.
• Experience with injection molding, machining, die casting, and MIM.
• BOM management and ECO/ECR in PLM.
• DFMEA and Design‑to‑Cost approaches.
• Strong cross‑functional communication.
• Regulated industry exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own precision mechanical components and assemblies for electro‑optical sensor systems.
• Lead concept development and architecture trade studies.
• Create and maintain 3D models, drawings, and GD&T for robust designs.
• Perform tolerance analysis to guide form, fit, and function decisions.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contract manufacturers for fabrication.
• Lead internal reviews and manage ECO/ECR processes.
