Responsibilities include leading projects, developing equipment specs, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring safety, reliability and efficiency across Corning operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of professional engineering experience in manufacturing environments.
• Experience with industrial thermal process equipment and high-temperature systems.
• Ability to review drawings, P&IDs, heat/mass balances, and 3D models.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead thermal equipment projects from concept through procurement, testing, installation and commissioning.
• Develop specifications for furnaces, ovens, kilns, lehrs, dryers, and related equipment.
• Collaborate with vendors and OEMs to evaluate proposals and support equipment selection.
• Apply heat transfer, combustion and fluid mechanics to analyze equipment designs.
• Coordinate with cross-site teams to meet project objectives and ensure safety.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

Master’s degree in Engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) license
