Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an experienced Staff Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and improvement of electromechanical products from concept through production. The role is based on-site in Glendale, WI, with relocation packages available for qualified candidates.

You will apply advanced engineering methods, simulation, and rapid prototyping to deliver reliable, cost-efficient solutions on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 7+ years of mechanical design experience in electromechanical products.
• Experience with FEA tools and interpreting results to guide design decisions.
• In-depth knowledge of injection molding, DFM, and tooling considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of electromechanical products including actuators and valves.
• Manage project deliverables, timing, and milestones for new product development.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models and drawings using Creo; manage BOMs.
• Perform DFMEA, DVP&R, and tolerance stack-ups for robust performance.
• Support prototype builds, testing, and validation in lab and field environments.
