Job summary

Andrews Cooper Technology Inc is seeking a STAFF MECHANICAL ENGINEER to design complex automated systems and lead multi‑disciplinary mechanical projects. You will create and manage technical documentation, assist with concept-to-production deployment, and work with controls and electrical teams to ensure system integration.

The role requires a strong background in mechanical design, GD&T, DFM/DFA, and hands‑on experience with SolidWorks. Travel up to 20% and a U.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field; MSME a Plus.
• 3–10 years of hands‑on Mechanical Engineering experience with increasing responsibility.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks including assemblies, drawings, BOMs and design docs.
• Strong knowledge of mechanics, machine design, materials, mechanisms and electro‑mechanical systems.
• GD&T, tolerance analysis, and mechanical drawing practices.
• DFM/DFA principles across the design process.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate in small multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong written and verbal technical communication.
• Up to 20% travel may be required; reliable transportation needed.

Responsibilities

• Design complex automated systems as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Create and manage BOMs, I/O lists, P&IDs and other technical docs.
• Develop automation mechanical design solutions using CAD tools and engineering principles.
• Support project lifecycle from conceptual design through production implementation.
