What You’ll Do

• Design, develop and test high voltage, high power density motors for eVTOL applications.
• Responsible for all aspects of the mechanical design of the electric engine, including rotor, stator, and gearbox components.
• Analyze and optimize the engine design using FEA for mechanical modeling, thermal modeling, acoustics, and vibration.
• Support validating results through dynamometer testing.
• Design test equipment, such as dynamometers and testing fixtures.
• Manage all stages of development from concept, design, testing, validation, to production release and support.
• Evaluate new technologies and design improvements to develop the most power-dense, efficient, and reliable electric engine.
• Rapid prototyping of conceptual designs.
• Generate detailed design packages including drawings, analysis reports, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
• Assist in creating vital technical documents for the mechanical team, such as component specifications, test plans, sourcing SOWs, and assembly manuals.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Master’s Degree as an alternative).

Experience: 5 years in Mechanical Engineering design roles with NX or CAD, tolerance analysis, GD&T, and MATLAB; or 1 year with a Master’s Degree in similar roles.

Salary range: $185,400 to $203,940 per year (as per Immigration & Mobility Manager).
