Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to be located in West Chester, PA; Raritan, NJ or Zuchwil, Switzerland. You will work in the DePuy Synthes TechOps group on an NPI team, developing world-class manufacturing and assembly operations that meet cost and performance goals.

Join a cross-functional team with R&D, Quality, Marketing, Finance, Sourcing and external manufacturers to define user needs, design concepts, and validate products through development and prototype

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment.
• Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industries is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and External Manufacturers to develop manufacturing solutions.
• Establish relationships between product design features and manufacturing methods.
• Provide design-for-manufacturing reviews of components and assemblies.
• Manage manufacturing of prototypes for new product development.
• Prepare cost estimates for components and assembly (COGS).
• Develop cost-effective manufacturing strategies including supplier selection.
