Elbit Systems of America, LLC is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to lead the establishment of a new greenfield munitions facility. The role guides development from concept through full-rate production, overseeing AI&T lines for Class 3 UAVs and air-to-ground missiles, including warhead integration.

The successful candidate will shape facility design, manufacturing processes, equipment laydown, and test infrastructure to enable scalable, safe production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a manufacturing/engineering discipline.
• Typically 14+ years in aerospace/defense or complex manufacturing environments.
• Experience developing/improving assembly and production processes.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, facilities, and program management.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced greenfield environment with evolving systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead startup of the greenfield munitions facility and AI&T production lines.
• Translate product requirements and forecasts into capacity and infrastructure needs.
• Design production layouts, tooling, and test infrastructure for initial and high-rate production.
• Drive process capability, yield improvements, and cycle-time reductions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership on readiness and ramp plans.
• Ensure safety, quality, regulatory and program requirements are met.
