Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff Logistics Engineer (level 5) in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on defining sustainment strategies, leading LOR and LSA activities, and coordinating with engineering and customers to optimize maintenance and repair efforts.

The position requires a DoD Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret/SAP, and experience interpreting engineering drawings and MIL-STD standards. A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 12 years of experience or Master’s with 10 years or PhD with 8 years of experience.
• US Citizenship with an active DoD Secret Clearance (within scope) at time of application.
• Ability to obtain Top Secret and SAP approval within company timelines.
• 4 years of experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and product data sheets for electrical components.
• 4 years of experience scheduling and determining maintenance requirements, spares, tools, calibration, and manpower.

Responsibilities

• Perform Logistics Product Support Analyses to define parts, equipment, skills, and activities for system sustainment and availability.
• Lead Level of Repair (LOR) and Logistics Support Analyses for the SLCM-N program.
• Collect, track, and analyze usage rates, maintenance trends, inventory levels, and reliability data.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and customers to exchange data and support field requirements.
• Prepare and present technical information and recommendations in meetings.
• Lead development of a product support plan covering all 12 IPS elements.
