Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Staff Software Engineer specializing in Linux Kernel Security to strengthen the security posture of our core Linux kernel and OS components. This full-time role requires deep kernel internals knowledge, CVE triage, and secure development practices to support our AI cloud infrastructure.

You will implement kernel hardening, enforce access controls, and collaborate across hardware, hypervisor and OS teams. Strong guidance and mentoring for junior engineers are expected.

Qualifications

Deep knowledge of Linux kernel internals and security.
Experience with CVE remediation and kernel hardening.
Secure coding practices and code reviews in C.

Responsibilities

Implement kernel security enhancements and triage CVEs.
Enforce access controls, secure boot, and CI guardrails.
Research vulnerabilities and backport fixes to production.
Conduct security-focused code reviews and audits.
Develop tools for kernel security auditing and fuzzing.
Provide incident response support for kernel/OS security incidents.
