Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Staff Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Interior Trim and Coverstock to drive best-in-class product quality throughout the development process. The Staff Engineer will lead APQP/PPAP activities, collaborate with Studio, Design Engineering, Purchasing, and manufacturing plants, and ensure ISO9001/IATF16949 compliance while

Qualifications

• 8+ years in high-volume manufacturing or assembly environments (Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, R&D, or Manufacturing Engineering). Automotive exp. preferred.
• At least 6 years of hands-on APQP and PPAP project management.
• Experience with Interior components and manufacturing processes (Interior Trims, Wrapping, Coverstock, Cut/Sew, Molding, Adhesives).
• Proficiency in reading schematics and drawings; strong knowledge of chassis quality standards and specifications.
• Solid analytical, technical writing, and data analysis skills; mastery of quality tools (IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, DOE, DFM/A, GD&T).
• Proven ability to collaborate across functions, leverage data, and drive innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex supply chains across Asia, Europe, and Americas.
• Lead APQP/PPAP from design to mass production.
• Ensure DFM/A needs for Interior commodities are incorporated in design and quality expectations.
• Drive and track all tier supplier Engineering Design Change activities.
• Collaborate with Studio, Design Eng, Purchasing, New Projects Implementation, Plants, and SQEs to develop suspension components.
• Perform supplier assessments, audits, and site inspections; develop improvement plans and monitor metrics.
• Travel 25–75% to Lucid Motors and supplier sites globally as needed.
• Document processes and ensure ISO9001 and AIAG/IATF16949 compliance.
• Analyze data to assess capability to meet build requirements.
