Job summary

Berkley Hunt is seeking a Staff Infrastructure Engineer in a hybrid role based in Manhattan. You will own cloud infrastructure end-to-end, focusing on architecture, DevOps automation, and security compliance across a modern AWS stack.

You will design scalable infra with IaC, manage CI/CD pipelines, and drive observability and security initiatives to support rapid growth.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS and IaC experience, AWS CDK preferred.
• Strong software engineering background, not pure ops.
• Experience scaling infra from seed/Series A to B/C.
• Experience owning security/compliance (SOC 2, MDM).
• Able to operate as a solo infra owner across architecture, DevOps and security.
• Strong communication skills for fast-paced startup teams.

A fast-growing, Series B investment intelligence platform is seeking a Staff Infrastructure Engineer to own and scale its cloud infrastructure end-to-end. This hybrid role in Manhattan focuses on architecture, DevOps automation, and security compliance across a modern AWS-based stack.

What You'll Do

• Design and own scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (AWS CDK)
• Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and GitOps practices
• Improve deployment workflows and developer efficiency tooling across the engineering team
• Implement and own security and compliance processes, including SOC 2 Type 2
• Manage MDM and fleet management across the organization

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience owning infrastructure end-to-end, ideally as a founding engineer or early hire
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code; expertise in AWS CDK preferred
• Strong software engineering background over pure ops/administration
• Track record scaling infrastructure from scratch at a Seed/Series A to B/C-stage startup
• Experience owning security and compliance processes (SOC 2, MDM)
• Comfort operating as a solo infra owner across architecture, DevOps, and security
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced startup teams
