Job summary

SentinelOne is hiring a Staff Infrastructure Engineer to design and operate distributed data services at global scale. You will build automated, self‑service infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and air‑gapped on‑prem environments, and manage data pipelines ingesting petabytes daily with ultra-low latency.

You will drive multi‑tenant Kafka optimization, implement GitOps lifecycle automation, and define standards for observability, HA, backup, and disaster recovery in Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure/platform engineering.
• Deep hands-on with self hosted Kafka and Redis in Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes internals for stateless/stateful workloads.
• Experience with DBaaS/PaaS for internal/external teams.
• Exposure to multi-cloud with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps (Terraform, ArgoCD, Pulumi).
• Familiarity with blue-green, canary, rolling deployments.
• Strong scripting or development skills (Python/Go).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation (GitHub Actions, Argo Workflows).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and operation of distributed data services like Kafka/Redis at scale.
• Build automated, self-service infra across AWS, GCP, and air-gapped on‑prem environments.
• Manage data infra handling 5+ PB/day ingestion with low latency and high throughput.
• Consolidate and optimize multi-tenant Kafka for cost and resilience.
• Drive GitOps-based lifecycle automation to reduce toil and pager fatigue.
• Set standards for observability, HA, backup, and DR of stateful workloads in Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with FinOps and engineering to optimize performance and cost.
• Own end‑to‑end platform experience for mission-critical open-source systems.
• Coordinate with teams in Europe and India; use Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Terraform.
