Job summary

Heron Power Electronics seeks a Staff Multidisciplinary Designer to shape the products, experiences, and visual language across industrial design, product UX, and brand. You will work between form development, interfaces, and documentation, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and software teams to turn complex ideas into clear, tangible products.

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience designing and shipping physical products.
• Strong industrial design fundamentals across form, CMF, ergonomics and detailing.
• 3D skills with CAD, rendering, prototyping, and physical models.
• Ability to frame ambiguous problems and drive work with limited direction.
• Experience collaborating with engineering under real constraints.
• Strong graphic and visual communication for diagrams and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Drive industrial design across power electronics products from concept to production.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, thermal, manufacturing, and software engineers.
• Explore architecture, proportion, materials, interfaces, and manufacturing processes.
• Prototype solutions using sketches, CAD, renderings, and mockups.
• Define how users interact with products, including installation and controls.
• Develop visual communication and product graphics for complex ideas.
• Evolve Heron's visual identity across products and spaces.
• Establish design systems and patterns for a growing product family.
• Advocate for users while balancing engineering and cost considerations.
• Raise design quality through critique and detailed execution.
