Job summary
Canonical is seeking a Staff-level Software Engineer for Identity Management to advance authentication and authorization across our enterprise products and websites. You will work with Go and Python, own system design, and collaborate with a distributed team from remote locations in the EMEA and AMER regions.
You will modernize the identity stack, implement secure IAM solutions, and write Juju charms to manage operational concerns.
Qualifications
- Staff-level or senior software engineering experience in identity and access management.
- Familiar with identity standards (OpenID, OAuth, LDAP) and distributed systems.
- Experience building IAM authorization frameworks and secure coding practices.
- Comfortable with Ubuntu as a development/deployment platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and delivery of IAM features for authentication/authorization across Canonical products.
- Write clean web service APIs using Go and Python for CLI and web clients.
- Review code and set quality standards with a distributed team.
- Develop Juju charms to manage operational concerns and automate IAM workflows.
- Drive modernization of identity stack and adoption of IAM technologies.
