Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced RF/microwave layout engineer to translate circuit concepts into optimized layouts for mobile communications.

You will collaborate with RF IC design engineers to verify and tape out high-performance analog and RF circuits. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in RF/microwave layouts, strong knowledge of CMOS/SOI processes, and hands-on Cadence CAD skills, along with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience or equivalent advanced education.
• Background in RF/Microwave engineering and experience with integrated RF circuit layouts.
• Understanding of CMOS and SOI semiconductor processes.
• Experience with Cadence CAD tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Layout RF, analogue and microwave integrated circuits for mobile communications.
• Floor planning and concept realization of highly integrated RF circuits.
• Top-level and block-level layout designs, including LVS and DRC checks.
• Full RF and analogue layout design and size optimization for CMOS and SOI.
• Design and layout of laminate layers interfacing silicon with package.
• Collaborate with RF IC design engineers and with foundry/manufacturing teams.
• Oversee tape-out process, data documentation and archiving.
• Interface with design engineering, foundry and manufacturing teams independently.

This role focuses on the physical layout and integration of highly integrated RF, analog, and microwave circuits for mobile communications applications. You’ll work across CMOS and SOI technologies, partnering closely with RF IC design engineers to translate circuit concepts into optimized layouts and support designs through verification and tape-out.

Responsibilities

• Layout of RF, Analogue and microwave integrated circuits for the mobile communications market.
• Floor planning and concept realization of highly integrated RF circuits.
• Top Level and block level layout designs including circuit and layout verification checks (LVS, DRC).
• Full RF and Analogue layout design and layout size optimization of CMOS and SOI.
• Design and layout of laminate layers, interfacing silicon with package.
• Interface and cooperation with RF IC design engineers.
• Responsibility for tape out process, data documentation and data archiving.
• Independent interface with design engineering, foundry and manufacturing.

Required Experience and Skills

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience or an equivalent amount of advanced education and experience.
• Background in RF/Microwave engineering and experience with integrated RF circuit layouts.
• Understanding of semiconductor process technologies such as CMOS and SOI.
• Experience with Cadence CAD tools.
• Outstanding Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
