Job summary

Teradata Corporation is seeking a Staff Virtualization Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our on-prem platform infrastructure within a hybrid-first environment. You will work on Teradata’s virtualization stack, collaborating with DevOps and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

The role requires deep virtualization knowledge, experience with KVM/Harvester, vSphere/vSan, and automation with Terraform and PowerCLI, plus strong scripting in Python or similar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in Computer Science or related field with several years of applicable experience.
• Strong virtualization and cloud fundamentals.
• Ability to automate and script with common tools.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team of engineers to analyze problems, design, develop, test, and support software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve test strategies and processes.
• Conduct end-to-end testing to validate functionality, stability, and integration.
• Evaluate and maintain information security within the virtualized infrastructure.
• Drive virtualization best practices across customer environments.
• Develop test tools and automation with DevOps to meet customer needs.
