AtlasBase is seeking a Staff High-Performance Software Engineer to join a fast-growing team building a brand-new category of technology. You will help accelerate encoding/decoding pipelines, leveraging GPUs and CPUs within a distributed system environment.

The role emphasizes architecture, performance optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with software and bioinformatics teams to deliver scalable data processing across hybrid hardware.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience in high-performance or systems-level environments.
• Deep expertise in systems-level languages (C/C++/Rust).
• Strong understanding of CPU/GPU architectures, memory management and bottlenecks.
• Knowledge of parallel computing, concurrency, and distributed architectures.
• Proficiency with CUDA/OpenCL/Metal and PyTorch for compute tasks.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement efficient, distributed data processing pipelines across hybrid hardware.
• Optimize pipelines for massive data with predictable throughput and resource use.
• Collaborate with software and bioinformatics teams to integrate into the larger ecosystem.
