Job summary

AtlasBase is seeking a Staff High-Performance Software Engineer to join a foundational engineering team. You will accelerate encoding/decoding pipelines, leveraging GPUs and CPUs within a distributed system to deliver scalable data processing.

Role requires 8+ years in high-performance software and deep expertise in C/C++/Rust, CPU/GPU architectures, and parallel computing. You will collaborate across software and bioinformatics teams to integrate components across the ecosystem, in a fast-paced

Qualifications

8+ years professional software development experience in high-performance or systems-level environments.
Deep expertise in C, C++, or Rust.
Strong understanding of CPU/GPU architectures, memory management, and hardware bottlenecks.
Advanced knowledge of parallel computing, concurrency, and distributed system architectures.
Proficiency with high-level ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch) and low-level kernel interfaces (CUDA, OpenCL, Metal).

Responsibilities

Architect and implement highly efficient, distributed data processing pipelines across hybrid hardware platforms.
Develop highly optimized pipelines with predictable throughput and resource usage.
Collaborate with software and bioinformatics teams to integrate systems within the larger ecosystem.
