Job summary

WHOOP is seeking a Staff Hardware Test Engineer (Manufacturing) to lead test strategy and deliver scalable solutions ensuring each device meets high quality standards.

You will own complex manufacturing test challenges from strategy to production outcomes, mentor engineers, and drive improvements in test coverage, yield, and cycle time while collaborating across multiple engineering and manufacturing teams in a Boston-based setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience developing hardware test systems for high-volume electronics.
• Ability to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
• Experience owning manufacturing test strategy from development through ramp.
• Strong knowledge of test coverage, calibration, GR&R, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, development, validation, and deployment of automated test equipment (ATE) for engineering validation and mass production.
• Develop scalable automated test methodologies using Python to validate electrical, RF, and sensor performance on manufacturing lines.
• Drive cross-functional alignment across Hardware, Firmware, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to balance test coverage, quality, yield, and cost.
• Own test readiness from factory bring-up through production ramp with partners and fixture qualification.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on test architecture, debugging, and automation.
