Job summary

Google in San Francisco, CA is seeking an Advanced hardware leader to own outcomes, solve ambiguous problems, and influence stakeholders across cross-functional teams in hardware and software.

You will shape custom silicon, lead rapid prototyping, design hardware, and drive integration with software across Android-powered devices used by billions. Individual pay is determined by skills, experience, and education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience working in a consumer electronics or hardware prototyping technical environment.
• 3 years of experience in technical leadership.
• Experience in system architecture, rapid prototyping, and hardware design.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional hardware and software teams to deliver new and differentiating technologies and use cases across the Android ecosystem, including Pixel products.
• Work with external partners to identify and define new technologies to support internal product and feature roadmaps.
• Develop models and fabricate functional prototypes of new products and features, including both hardware and software integration.
• Define architectures, KPIs, and validation strategies/plans for new products and features.
• Lead and approve activities in a discipline of hardware design, architecture, technology, or development for a product or system of high complexity.
