Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Staff Hardware Engineer in Sheboygan, WI, to develop, test, and optimize PCB solutions for residential and power products. You’ll work across analog, digital, RF, and mixed-signal areas, collaborating with hardware, software, and product teams in a cloud-connected IoT environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required; MS preferred.
• 6+ years of work experience in electrical engineering or hardware development.
• Proven experience leading technical teams in hardware development.
• Hands-on experience with circuit capture and PCB design tools (OrCAD).
• Experience with wireless systems (BLE, WiFi, ISM, LTE).
• Familiarity with PCB design and circuit board modeling for power systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead portions of new product development from concept through design for manufacturing for analog, digital, RF and mixed-signal designs.
• Sustain existing products ensuring reliability, performance, and improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define electrical hardware requirements and system architecture.
• Define, plan, and execute hardware validation tests for functional, environmental, and lifecycle performance.
• Support EMC, safety, and regulatory compliance activities for residential and power products.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to design reviews and process improvements.
