Job summary

Google is seeking a seasoned hardware engineer to design and build systems powering its data centers. You will see projects from concept through production, shaping the machinery behind millions of Google users.

The role involves Leading hardware design, validation in lab, collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and deployment teams to productize designs and deliver robust data center solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• 6 years in hardware system development environment.
• 3 years of technical leadership.
• Experience with ML/AI hardware platforms including GPUs and TPUs.

• Bring up systems and execute engineering validation in the lab.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience working in a hardware system development environment.
• 3 years of experience in technical leadership.
• Experience with Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Hardware platforms, including Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) and Tensor Processing Units (TPUs).

Preferred qualifications:

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience working in a hardware system development environment.
• Experience with data center engineering, AI/ML, server, storage and networking products.
• Experience in solving system issues, technical innovation and drive technical roadmap.
• Ability to collect and organize details to reproduce results and explain findings.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $188000 - $274000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits
