Job summary

Weaver Consultants Group is seeking a Staff Geologist in Fort Worth, TX, with 0–2 years of experience. You will engage in environmental geology and hydrogeology tasks related to remedial systems, site investigations, and regulatory compliance, primarily field-based with some travel.

The role includes data collection, borehole logging, report preparation, and coordination with senior staff. GIT, Surfer, Sanitas, and AutoCAD experience are a plus. Must be able to lift 70 lbs and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field.
• 0-2 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability and willingness to travel is required, often on short notice.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• GIT certification a plus.
• Experience in gINT, Sanitas, AutoCAD/Civil3D a plus.
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds

Responsibilities

• Conduct groundwater, surface water, and soil sampling.
• Perform lithologic and geophysical logging of geotechnical boreholes.
• Oversee monitor well, gas probe, and other compliance monitoring and remediation system installations.
• Analyze and interpret technical data.
• Conduct statistical analysis on groundwater monitoring data.
• Assist in the development and implementation of geologic and hydrogeologic investigations and evaluations.
• Perform Phase I environmental site assessments.
• Interact with clients and participate in regulatory meetings in a support role.
• Prepare technical reports.
• Provide CQA for engineering construction projects.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors.
• Support senior staff as needed to complete tasks. This often includes work in excess of 40 hours per week.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, if needed
