Xometry is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to lead our Generative AI efforts and shape the future of manufacturing by applying cutting-edge AI research to real-world problems. You will drive the AI roadmap across multimodal data, document processing, and structured data extraction, collaborating with product and engineering teams.

You will mentor teammates, deploy models in the cloud (AWS), and stay ahead of the latest research to bring practical, scalable AI solutions into production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/ML or related field; advanced degree a plus.
• 5+ years of ML or data science experience with generative models, LLMs, or CV.
• Experience with large-scale language and vision models (Transformers, GPT, VLMs).
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, pandas, NumPy).

Responsibilities

• Lead the Generative AI team and set technical direction.
• Develop and deploy large language and generative models for multimodal data processing.
• Build data pipelines and training workflows at scale.
• Collaborate with engineers, product and business teams to deploy AI solutions.
• Mentor teammates and stay current with research.
