Job summary

Talent in New York City is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to take technical ownership of critical product features and influence architecture. You will enable scale across frontend, backend, data and infrastructure while mentoring engineers and improving processes.

You'll work in a hybrid NYC environment, collaborating with product and business teams to shape the roadmap and deliver secure, scalable applications with TypeScript, Python, and modern AI tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.

Qualifications

7+ years software engineering experience, at least 1 year at staff level.
Strong hands-on experience with Python and/or TypeScript.
Proven experience owning and shipping complex, scalable applications.
Strong technical leadership and mentoring capabilities.
Experience using modern AI development tools.

We’re partnering with a fast-growing, Series B SaaS company in NYC building an AI-powered data and intelligence platform. They’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to take technical ownership of critical product features, influence architecture, and help scale the engineering organization.

Location: New York City - Hybrid, 4 days/week in office

Type: Full-time
