Role Overview

The Staff Full Stack Software Engineer for Quality Risk Management develops applications supporting the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) process across the product lifecycle. The role involves working with complex data, providing solutions using industry-standard methodologies, overseeing development activities, and mentoring team members. Expertise in cloud transition, especially Azure, is essential to transform data into insights.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise applications with Kubernetes/Docker, Quarkus, Java, Angular, PostgreSQL
• Identify and remediate software issues related to code quality, security, and patterns
• Lead GM’s transition to cloud technologies
• Mentor and guide software engineers
• Navigate complex environments to remove project roadblocks
• Analyze code quality and implement remediation
• Maintain and debug live systems
• Implement branching strategies and CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
• Document solutions and ensure compliance with GM standards
• Promote GM’s values and culture within the team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years in full stack Java/Angular development
• 3+ years in Kubernetes/Docker, Quarkus, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• 3+ years working with SQL, Python, and big data technologies

Preferred Skills

• Experience migrating to Azure and handling complex data
• Knowledge of DataStage and Tidal automation
