Job summary

ID.me, Mountain View, CA, seeks a Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack, to own the Shop experience end-to-end. You will lead React/Next.js frontend work while extending backend services and APIs, partnering with Design and Product to translate loyalty and offers into compelling member experiences.

You'll set engineering standards, improve accessibility, and collaborate on platform modernization, with a focus on scalable UI foundations and performance across Shop and SuperApp.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years frontend engineering experience.
• Strong vanilla JavaScript/HTML/DOM.
• Experience with React and Next.js in production.
• Experience shipping web components and UI patterns.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Shop web experiences with React/Next.js.
• Extend backend REST endpoints to support frontend features.
• Integrate with Shopping Graph and Developer Portal APIs.
• Participate in platform modernization and GKE migrations.
• Contribute components to ID.me design foundations.
• Collaborate with Design and Product on UI solutions.
• Set engineering standards and mentor peers.
• Ensure performance, accessibility, and reliability.
