Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead front-end architecture and deliver scalable React/TypeScript capabilities. You will guide design reviews, build reusable components, and optimize performance across SPA/SSR/hybrid apps.

You’ll work closely with backend teams and product partners to ensure robust, accessible experiences. The role emphasizes strong technical judgment, collaboration, and mentoring while advancing AI/ML framework integrations within a health and wellness context

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 4+ years software engineering experience.
• 4+ years of software engineering experience with modern web development.
• Master's degree and 2+ years of software engineering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve front-end architecture for complex React applications (SPA/SSR/hybrid).
• Deliver high-quality features in React/TypeScript with reusable components and design systems.
• Establish testing, code review, CI/CD practices and improve front-end observability.
• Coordinate with backend teams on APIs, contracts and end-to-end system design.
